The finger tracking is passable for social gestures and the ergonomics for long beatsaber sessions to me is unbeatable. I'm upgrading to the Beyond 2e so I can keep the lighthouses, knuckles, and get tundras eventually but that's gonna be a super pricey setup. Thanks for coming to my infodump 😄

I've used an Index for 6 years and love it but it's dated and nowhere near worth original price these days so I can't recommend unless you get a really good deal (and also desire lighthouses to use vive trackers or tundras). I do love the knuckles controllers though over the quest ones.

All 2 of my IRL friends have quest 2 as the budget standalone choice and seem pretty happy, link it with a PC and play PCVR games too. Downside is you don't get to (easily) use lighthouse FBT. Slimes are pretty good but you have to periodically reset them if they drift a little.

Same experience here, but I'm not sure if that's because I've just never been a microblogger kind of person or if it's just because I've based my personality recently entirely around beatsaber and it just has a small and/or antisocial community lol

Even as an Ex player I feel this, I still have a collection of maps with 1 difficulty level that I wish I could play but it's just too fast. The most egregious ones I like to call arm flapping simulators.
