labels will be slow to trigger for a few days - clearing out the old 'newaccount' labels (applied-but-hidden because I removed the def., but this was showing up in apps)
Was dripping these in slowly, but can't keep up with reports any more so dumping all at once and linking to this for a few days

ok as is the case when I fix things - gonna get rate limited, so expect labels to be a little delayed the next few days
if you have been hit with a wrong label, the labeller evaluates on every *post* so you should see it clear up when you next post or reply

there is something going on with the labeller - stalling reading off the firehose & failing reading plc.directory (I think these are my issues not bsky problems)

Some bugs with
- updated non-plc detection
- engagement hacking label
So those will be out after Christmas. Rest going up now.

just on moderation - I'm one guy unaffiliated with bluesky. I can do nothing with other reports.
I understand the 'do something' urge to tick every box, I do, but it would mean a lot to my sanity to not be pulled to the worst things on the site, esp. since I can't do anything them.

the labeller may flag you as 'changed handle' if there's a resolution issue (in particular - if it can't reliably resolve a did and connect to plc.directory) - if you get flagged, it'll unflag on your next post after the problem is resolved

some caching issues with labels for new accounts (and changed handles bc the tag changed) - old labels are sticking around in the UI even though they're gone from the labeller (negating them as I see them, but it's slow)
force quitting the iOS app or force-refreshing the browser seems to fix it

Ok it's set up - 'new account' is gone.
Other labels should clear up over the next few days so if you're currently mislabelled with new handle, that should go away soon.

I get a lot of feedback that 'new account' is a major anti-scam tool, and I'm worried about taking that away.
