I think the "worst Dragon's Lair inspired game" goes to Time Traveler. They had it at the bowling alley. Bad controls. Unresponsive. Credits were so expensive because it was a "Holographic game". And of course it was designed by Dragon's Lair creators.

#beatit2025 If you're a fan of the SNES Mega Man X games, and didn't care much for the PS2 games' direction, you have to try Mega Man X8 Demake.
Controls are tight, music is awesome, great visuals.

Controls are tight, music is awesome, great visuals.

Fun fact: 1st time I played this was at a friend's, he couldn't beat Sigma so I tried and beat it for him, never having played another stage prior.🤣

Reorganizing the storage room and installed a gaming corner with a 13 inch CRT, so I hooked up my childhood SNES and beat Super Mario Bros on SMB all-stars.
That's 19 completed games in 2024, more than twice 2023 total😄

Had just enough time to squeeze one last #beatit2024!
Reorganizing the storage room and installed a gaming corner with a 13 inch CRT, so I hooked up my childhood SNES and beat Super Mario Bros on SMB all-stars.

I've been sick for the past week so I've had time to play a few games.
I #beatit2024 Hudson's puzzle series vol 4 kakuro on the Nintendo DS. Took me several months by doing a puzzle or 2 a day. I love its interface which is crucial in this kind of game.

Played the PC port this time, with raytracing support. It sure looks weird, and not every texture is great, but it made for a unique experience.
So smooth at 144fps.

#beatit2024 With the release of the Star Fox 64 PC recompilation, I just had to try it! Playing it in 144hz/native widescreen is an awesome experience, and I decided to beat the hard route. Somehow I lost Slippy along the way... but I did get 2 medals.

#beatit2024 With the release of the Star Fox 64 PC recompilation, I just had to try it! Playing it in 144hz/native widescreen is an awesome experience, and I decided to beat the hard route. Somehow I lost Slippy along the way... but I did get 2 medals.

The labels were ok. The boards however...
DKC2 didn't save and DKC3 threw up its anti-piracy screen. Would it just be the batteries.
Rotted traces, lifting coating, cut R1.
In the end, I fixed the games. Kinda pissed.

Inspired by Coury's setup from a recent @mylifeingaming.bsky.social episode, I remade my whole console gaming setup from scratch starting mid-november.
It's not completely done yet, but I'm very pleased with the results!
