Mr. Burns’s mayoral hopes tanked *overnight* when he spit out that bite of radioactive fish. It was a different world.

Ever since we took a family trip to Sweden six years ago and I friended a bunch of distant aunts and cousins on Facebook, my feed looks like this every Midsommar.

Who’s this porker who shoves the woman with the cellphone for no good reason? (And then I guess arrests her ... for getting shoved?) I bet he’s well known to local bakery employees.

A nice tribute in the NYT Book Review to my former boss, the legendary children's editor and founder of Greenwillow Books, Susan Hirschman -- from one of her author-illustrators, Kevin Henkes. I can confirm that her office really was a wonderland of books and toys.

Hi, new Bluesky friends. I have a book coming out soon from @mip-medpub.bsky.social, titled The English Apocalypse: A 14th-Century Translation of the Book of Revelation.

Here's a sneak peek of the cover image, taken from a manuscript at the Cloisters. (My daughter, a big fan of dragons, loves it.)
