SA Health received 361 COVID-19 notifications this week, up from 342 last week, with the 4-week moving average at 320 and rising. Last week, 14.5% of COVID PCR tests were positive, the highest rate for over a year.

As we end 2024, we are in a summer wave of COVID-19, with more than 50% of samples due to XEC. December data are incomplete, so numbers will keep increasing, especially after Xmas and New Year.

COVID notifications in South Australia have jumped again from 306 last week to 354. The %positive PCR tests has gone up from 9.1% to 10.8%, the highest it's been since June. I went to A Night at the Opera at the Town Hall Wednesday night - only myself and a handful of other people wearing facemasks!

COVID notifcations for South Australia have dropped slightly from last week (from 322 to 306), with the %positive PCR tests steady at 9%. However, the 7-day moving average tells a slightly different story.

COVID notifications have steadied in South Australia this week, at 322 compared to 337 last week. However, the 7day moving average of 250 is steadily going up, its highest since August. %Positive PCR tests also steady at 9%. 16 active outbreaks in SA aged care homes at last report.
