I feel that these two episodes as well as the Master Ninja ones are probably most enjoyable when viewed together in one sitting rather than separately.

Star Force: The next flick is the "sequel" to Fugitive Alien. Overall, I'd say this one was a bit worse and more disjointed than the first one, but the jokes were a riot. For example, Crow makes Rocky the Squirrel jokes much to Joel's chagrin, and the crew busts out a song every couple of minutes.

Oddly, I've been thinking about rewatching Dave lately. It started off that way, but then the movie shifted to the "What if the President...was good?" mini-genre.

Fugitive Alien: Like other Sandy Frank flicks, this movie is a jumbled mess of Japanese television episodes, making the plot incomprehensible at times. It sucks, but it's fun. If you like Prince of Space and Time of the Apes, you'll have fun with this one. The boys are on fire with their riffs.

I decided to see what shenanigans were in store for me in Volume 24. It looks like I'm in store for some silly ones, starting with another Sandy Frank adventure called Fugitive Alien.

Volume 23 in the books. I found three of the films to be fine, but ultimately (probably) inessential compared to my favorites thus far. However, Fu Manchu at this juncture is one of the worst films they've watched. Rankings:

Wild Horses
Code Name: Diamond Head
King Dinosaur
Castle of Fu Manchu

From a cinematography standpoint, it was funny when the crew continuously poked fun at the prolonged scenes, jump cuts, and weird facial zoom ins. While it is a bit boring (and I'm not sure there's much of a plot), the jokes get funnier the longer Mike and the Bots have to endure it.

Last of the Wild Horses: At first I thought it was just a ho hum western, but as I kept watching, it became obvious it was a bad film (for one, I couldn't hear much of the dialogue). However, the alternate dimension sketches are a ton of fun, and the Mads riffing the flick early on was a great bit.

Ultimately, I can't really say the movie was that campy. I mean, Final Justice had a monk boat chase for crying out loud. It felt sincere in its own '70s way, but it was just a boring movie that had to be carried by Mike and the Bots.

@optimstie.bsky.social : The jokes are amusing throughout, but one thing I found interesting was that the network never picked up the series, despite countless attempts from the production team. There are future plots, odd friendships, and fake callbacks, but all of them were for naught by the end.

Code Name: Diamond Head: Ian McShane steals something from the military in Hawaii, but I don't know what. A middle age hero has to save the day, but he's vanilla/average as hell. While this is a boring made-for-TV heist flick, it would pair nicely with other flicks like Mitchell and Final Justice.

Another shot with Orion, but some more green snuck into the photo.

It wasn't even that campy when compared to similar flicks (i.e., Secret Agent Super Dragon or perhaps Final Justice). It was just incredibly boring and didn't go anywhere. Of course, maybe that's because I often couldn't hear what was going on, but I'm not going to rewatch to find things I missed.
