So let the hours glide in silence,
and may your heart, expectant,
rejoice already —
for the dawns to come are but messengers
of that greater light, awaiting you.

(my birthday will be in 13 days)

And know this: thirteen nights remain,
only thirteen, until the day arrives
when life itself shall place before you
a candle lit in honor of your birth.

May your slumber be peaceful,
as though guarded by unseen hands,
and may each dream carry you softly,
like a boat drifting upon a quiet river.
