If you're a decent DIY'er and don't need the car for day to day, go for it. But if you send your cars to a mechanic to be fixed, I'd go Camry wagon. Not as cool I know, but much better factory/aftermarket support and reliability.

It really depends. Major stuff yes, but there are A LOT of little things like plastic fittings and connectors that like to break when you so much as look at them. Control modules, trim and seals that dry out and go bad... all no longer available when you try and find them.

Just be aware that VW/Audi are pretty terrible at parts support for their discontinued models.
