I am currently not a classroom teacher, partially because the culture of the American education system as it stands does not value the expertise of trained teaching professionals to do their job.
This includes parents who do things like this.

As a former classroom teacher, I can say with confidence that a good proportion of texts/calls/whatevers were from parents.
