"The most potent weapon in the hands of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed."-- Steve Biko
Can you imagine being so successful and yet so petty? Maye is a UNC grad. UNC should celebrate him for lots of reasons: recruitment, alumni base, or at the very least just cheering on and wishing well for all the alumni players.

Bill is clearly tone deaf on how college sports works.

Fox News. Where even sports reporting centralizes tabloidization w/ hint of culture wars-- and then adds as an afterthought the Bears won.

In Kinkhabwala's defense (I sadly read the article) she cut through all the BS "coach speech" and put what he said into simple English.

Here is a crazy thought-- instead of presenting a "both-sides" headline-- you just start with the clear Constitutional violation. It always amazes that people with no knowledge of the First Amendment can have their wrong opinions sanitized by newspapers in the name of "fairness and balance."

So which is it New York Times? Liberal or Left-wing? They are NOT the same thing. They are not the same thing at all.

Sometimes I wonder why I even bother reading the news at all. One horrible event after another. Here is my politics: the US should not own an equity stake in Intel; and it sure as hell should not own a piece of the Gaza Strip.

So starving them was the least of their problems?

Funny thing, Johnson (who is not from Texas) is not caught in a tough spot. He is a member of the House and his first Constitutional duty is to the House. The President has nothing to do with drawing Congressional borders.

)Why is the Constitution so hard to understand?
August 15, 2025 at 11:28 PM
It is not a "risky role;" it is unconstituonal and UnAmerican.
August 12, 2025 at 4:20 PM
We all know how this will end.

May 30, 1969: A part time Columbia student set himself on fire in front of the United Nations to protest the genocide in Biafra.
It is like the world never changes. Later in the article, he had told his Rabbi that he had written to President Nixon and others but it seemed "no one was listening."

R.I.P. Ozzy.

America needs an unflinching investigation into the creation of a police state. But as you can see the Washington Post is more concerned with Biden's mental health than the collapse of the Constitution.

A bombshell? How dare 18 y/o Mamdani do such a thing. By the way his SAT score is higher than mine's. I got an 890. But in my defense I went to see Slayer & Motohead that night. I was so excited I blew through the exam as quickly as possible. Years later I have a Ph.D. and I saw Slayer & Motorhead

I use em-dash's all the time. Not sure how or why I developed that habit.

The dead give away for AI, besides the soulless perfect writing are the sources. The proof is always in the sources.

In honor of Ozzy's last show.

Fantastic. Who needs college when your mind works like steel trap? I am sure the guy believes that "all lives matter" too.

One of the greatest self inflicted wounds I might ever see. Cheered on by a public that: 1) incorrectly thinks foreign aid is 25% of budget; & 2) the parochial idea that a dollar spent abroad means it is not a dollar going to Americans. Weaponizing ignorance. Weakening America.

Didn't Trump say America was just a big department store and he fixes the prices?
June 25, 2025 at 6:12 PM
As far as I can tell the only source for this ceasefire was Trump's private social media post. A source, that can either be the official oracle of the Administration; or the musings of a private citizen "just asking questions" or being provacative. Who knows?

Can you imagine the President of the United States just casually telling a city of 10 million people to evacuate. (!) Ignore him? Believe him?

Why did I ever become an IR professor?

I may be from Boston but L.A. will always hold a special place in my heart. I am proud alumni of UCSB and Cal State Los Angeles. So you can imagine the incredible amount of anger I have reading this fascist propaganda. Trust me, people will believe him.

What a horrible headline. This isn't a game.
June 9, 2025 at 3:39 PM
Yet under oath in Court his former Chief of Staff stated that the President's musings on social media are nothing more than the thoughts of a private citizen and cannot be considered policy.

Yet another modern example of Kershaw's "Working towards the Fuhrer"

Is it a slow day at the White House? Is there nothing else going on in the world? Can you imagine how much time has been wasted fighting one individual school?

All in the name to make America weaker.
