Like we don’t even HAVE a dog, so the blame limit is pretty extreme

I went to my first Lions game the year they went 0-16. On that occasion, they went up by 1 with 7+ minutes remaining and lost by 23 points, if memory serves. This is better than that!

I agree, terrible. But we all have learned not to call a game before it is actually over (I turned off the screen before Jordan Poole’s buzzerbeater v Houston 2018, but also headed for the exit before the Wolverine Muffed Punt of 2015).

Too soon to tease you?

No he didn’t actually call him a fascist to his face - he started to refer to earlier interactions and Trump told him it was ok to call him a fascist (although Mamdani had not in fact just done that).

Tell that bozo (silently if you prefer) I left industry for academia 37 years ago, got my PhD 33 years ago, had a fine career, married to the same kickass husband for 36 years, two beloved adult kids 26 and 31. So f*ck him, but congratulations to YOU.

Can I put a word in for “The Great Halifax Explosion,” John U Bacon’s book on the explosion that destroyed most of Halifax Nova Scotia in 1917.

I dont think that is how dsa endorsements work. Voting to support candidate is a commitment of DSA resources and shoe leather. Membership doesn’t take on candidates merely because they are party members.

Is your experience of DSA endorsements different

Sure that’s what she wants you to THINK.

Shade? No idea what these thumbs meant. Maybe “choice”??

As this does not seem to he a reply to anything, I am genuinely puzzled. Unless you are also very old, it’s possible I have already been struggling for a long long time.

A far more important lesson to learn is that most genetic variation, including the capacity for genius in all domains of human endeavor, is shared across the whole of humanity.

How many Einsteins, Beethovens, Monets have died with their potential unrecognized?
"I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein’s brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops."

I dont know much about Stevens but note that the rest of the delegation seems to studiously avoid even mentioning her, like they were in fourth grade and she had some sort of cooties

This makes sense to me. I have bad memories of domestic geese from my grandparents’ farm; they are wicked devils and should definitely stay out of Starbucks
