The further the Suns spiral the further they should lean into the rooks. Let them go through their growing pains now and let them learn. Suns haven’t done well with player development over the past few decades so now is a good time to start with a good owner

Yeah, it's time. The biggest challenge Sam is the Suns need to find a capable GM/team president to lead the rebuild or else the three headed monster of Jones+Isbhia+Bartelstein will just make the same mistakes again. Ishbia needs his Jerry West or Sam Presti. Bob Myers is still out there

It's a sunk cost fallacy at this point. We've gone from Monty to Vogel to Bud and there are only a few common denominators left in this equation. Can't fire coaches anymore, you have to look at the "Big 3".

Do we really believe, based on Gerald's reporting, they want to keep Beal especially with how ugly net ratings are with him next to Book and KD this year? I know the trade isn't happening, but I'd like to think Suns would move on if they could and are just saving face publicly.

That's why you wait and see him on the court before you make a stupid decision. Suns lost that trade man, it's not a debate anymore. When Nurk and Grayson get us to the finals, I'll concede my argument. Hell, I'd take them winning us one series at this point.

Including Toumani was malpractice. Toumani is EXACTLY what the Suns need now more than DA or Nurk/Grayson.

Bartelstein was also the architect of the DA trade as well. If you really want to understand why the Suns haven't won a ring, look at the GM history from '68 on. Either inside guys for the first 30 years (Jerry and Bryan) or first time hires (Kerr, Blanks, McDonough, Jones. Never someone with 🏆exp

I think we've seen over the past two years that they don't even with the recent additions. I went into this season knowing that, but was still hopeful. '20 and '21 drafts along with the Beal & Nurk trades created massive holes in their roster that are just too insurmountable to fill.

The data says yes. Before the season started, my thoughts were Beal starts if he's consistently available. He's not been and it hurts team chemistry when the starting lineup changes every game. His availability was a big factor in the issues they had last year. Start Dunn and let him develop

Would like Bud to go 5 out more (with KD, Oso, or even Dunn at the 5) against teams like GS, OKC, BKLN that aren’t as big. Not every game needs Nurk/Plumlee to play a ton.

Interesting because I know a GM who gave up a 1st round pick along with a solid defensive PG and offered a 4 year contract to the guy without him playing a single game yet

This was always the best move to me. Leaves most of the core intact and you don’t sacrifice as much draft capital.

There was an alternate reality where if Jones/Sarver would have thrown in an extra 1st round pick,making it 2 total, Suns would have had Kyrie for CP3 and Crowder. Would have kept the twins and most of their draft capital. Doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t get KD still, but definitely not Beal.

Honestly Jalen Bridges should get more run. He’s the exact prototype 3 and D guy they are looking for along with Dunn. He’s been lights out in the gleague too. Rather see him develop than wasting time with Bol

Concerned about health, not about the team. I think KD had a good year last year health wise, Brad is the real worry. I think KD and Book want to be out there if they can. I honestly don’t know if Brad does or if he really enjoys hoop tbh. He gives his all out there, just seems unserious…

The extra weight weight makes no sense for a SG and only makes him slower. Already has had hamstring and achilles issues too
