It really is!! Hang in there all.

No cap! Gets even other scientists excited - total fire.

So many stories like this matter. I’m sorry for your Dad, but in future you and your family will have the chance to look back on the science his life inspired - and hold dear all the good memories of him, independent of the MA. ♥️

Yeah, this will be a major catalyst-reading papers doesn’t usually give me “chills” of excitement.

Yes, while therapies have improved greatly this could change the entire paradigm at this point. I’m already speculating as to which major pharmaceutical & biotechnology CSO has set projects in motion on this.

For sure, and we have the tools to fight off these “innocuous” viruses
January 16, 2026 at 12:59 AM
Indeed! I feel and share your vibe.

I tend to agree, vaccines that eliminate HPV, HSV, CMV , & EBV could eradicate cancers and autoimmune diseases. We need to stop thinking of these as chronic or innocuous and something to tolerate any longer just because they don’t kill (quickly).

Optimistically, yes. A biological therapy (likely bispecific antibody) that interferes with Tcell-to-ANO2, could be a rapid innovation for therapy - near term, this makes me very excited for MS patients. If effective, total remission is plausible.

It really is! I try not to get too excited about a single paper finding, but I would say race is on to see who will bring the solution to market first in developing a biological therapy stat. Let’s hope major private sector moves ahead. This could be a <5year to Phase3 trials if it pans out fully.

Why do you ask, are you looking for these types of images, I know some medical illustrators?

Yeah, it can be a problem for many people, did you find a combination that worked for you (eg. ezetimibe)?
