Our paper was the first to identify that pyrrhotite was causing internal sulfate attack in defective concrete homes in Donegal & debunked the mica freeze-thaw hypothesis. I'm delighted our paper was awarded the Le Chatelier Distinguished Paper Award today

This proposal makes total sense! It removes peoples lives from danger, it means Dept of housing don't have to spend millions remediating defective concrete homes on a flood plain, and means @opwireland.bsky.social don't have to spend millions on flood defenses.
