Yes - but "easy" can mean different things to different people. Does that mean easily available? Does that mean pushed to them without asking? Does that mean high level and consumable? Does that mean detailed and precise?

Stakeholder alignment is always a tricky topic to ask for help on - its so contextual and cultural to an organisation

If the Figma was perfect, we'd just ship that as the product...wouldn't we?

Roll on 2050 when we'll all be rocking neural implants and be asking "Do people miss touching things"

I want to try cursor. With Cline, you put your own API key in, so you can sign up to Google Cloud, get a bunch of free credit and then try it with Gemini for a while...

All those roles can be consolidated into one 'vibe-maker', a bit like Bez from the Happy Mondays, no specific role, other than the vibe...

Great article. You can see why Google have spent so much on Gemini...

Instead of opening Google...you opened Google (Gemini!)

Its the software equivalent of phones that you can't replace the battery in, or a ready meal filled with processed junk because 'people don't want to cook anymore'

Well, at the moment I'm trying to build an app using VS Code and Cline (an extension) - seems to work quite well. Have you tried anything and found it productive?

I think AI coding tools are so powerful because they're inheriting all the control & power of an IDE (e.g. things like source control, diff etc.) - it makes giving something else (AI) control much easier. Without those hygiene factors, other tools will struggle to provide safe and enabling AI.

Big bang!

Have you tried Cline? Its VSCode extension lets you use API keys from all the main LLM providers...and where supported, it gives you a cost for each task it does...

What is best practice? Phase in a new design system and learn as you go? Or big bang?

Is it:

a) Because in the future we need powerful AI to solve the #Climate crisis?
b) Because the AI is locked in a war with humanity and needs to get more powerful quicker to defeat us?

I guess we'll find out in a few years

Depends on the situation. In a SaaS type business - product is the heart of the org. A bit of external input can help, and an outsider perspective is sometimes fresh and liberating. But can also take time for an external to add value unless they are starting with knowledge of the domain etc.
