TMX Utilisation plateaued

No need for another, at least in the foreseeable future. TMX has been sitting around 700,000 bpd for months with capacity currently at 900,000 bpd. There are plans already to expand that capacity by another 2-300,000 bpd, meaning the pipeline is <60% utilised when factoring in future capacity.

Yeah, some white people had issues. I wouldn't count on "white privilege", I suspect I would have issues and I'm not interested in finding out.

Critical minerals include rare earths, but they're not interchangeable. For example, Cu is included in critical, but not rare.

If you broaden to include critical, we're a major supplier of critical minerals, excluding REs. We have the resources, but not the production capacity for REs.

Yeah, he definitely shouldn't have been driving. He had a pattern, including trying to evade cops before.

Trans Mountain Pipeline still has a lot of spare capacity. Yes, it takes time to build a pipeline, but there needs to be a business case for a new one. Currently, volume is around 80% of capacity, but with potential upgrades included, it is under 60% of capacity.

$130 million sounds like a lot until you consider that DoD has ~1.3 million active members, National Guard is >750k, civilians members is >750k. That's about $100 for each member if just DoD, less if you include the others.
October 25, 2025 at 5:12 AM
Maybe $100 is too generous, this has around double the number
October 25, 2025 at 3:11 AM
$100 each if this is accurate with 1.31 million active-duty members.

They can't, as the poker & sports betting are linked. Billups would likely be the coach referred to below.
The mob ran the poker games. No way this was a one-off. The mob would definitely have been like, "we've been helping you with these poker games, you need to help us with making sports bets..."

CNN is saying it came from "an NBA coach at the time", but sure, still assumptions.

Who do you think leaked the info about the Portland game?

Yeah, I thought there continues to be a drop in demand for flights to the US.

Canada doesn't need it, at least not yet. Capacity nearly x3 with TMX, but we have been fairly stable at only sending x2 the volume prior to expansion. Corps need to step forward, demonstrate demand, apply for permitting & fund it themselves. Otherwise, it will be another government funded pipeline.
October 10, 2025 at 5:52 PM
Yeah, similar here in BC.

I disagree. Solar and wind are working just fine for Germany. I don't think America is unique in the kind of demands it has for power. However, I'm not opposed to nuclear. Germany could have stuck with nuclear and reduced its reliance on fossil fuels.

The federal dollars are intended to support things like post-secondary, but there is no requirement for the provinces to allocate that money for post-secondary.

It is absolutely pathetic that @mark-carney.bsky.social and this @liberalca.bsky.social government is backing down (pausing for review is still backing down). The mandate allows for hybrids, so the internal combustion engine isn't going away.

Not really a vote split. Previous election the seat was won by the NDP with the same share of votes as Gunn took it in April, which was also an increase in votes for the CPC candidate.
Also, his controversial views were well known going into the election.
