3.4M Biden voters backed Trump, exit polls imply

2.67M went T2020 to Harris

1M went 3rd party 2020 to Harris, <1.4M to T24

7.1M who didn’t vote 2020 backed Harris, 7.6M for T24

Trump convinced ~14.4M, Harris ~10.8M.

Lesson to Democrats: keep a good rapport with the press or make sure you’ve got a whole propaganda network backing you up like the GOP does with Fox and the rest.

YouTube users searched Elon Musk’s Nazi salute more often over the past day than they searched for Taylor Swift or NFL videos.

Trump kicked off his first term with a positive approval rating. Then he signed a bunch of unconstitutional executive orders and his popularity plummeted.

Yesterday, Trump kicked off his second term with unconstitutional orders and announced huge tariffs that’ll jack up prices of everything.

He got less votes than Harris, raw numbers and %

Hey Brandon how are you and MSNBC columnist getting paid more than 90% of Americans but you got this basic fact wrong?

Reuben has a point that polls show people say they support deporting illegal immigrants. But I remember when people said they favor withdrawing from the Afghanistan War… until it actually happened

Remember when Bloomberg said there’s a 100% chance we would get a recession under Biden?

Same price basically as 2016.

Trump got us to 15% unemployment his first time in office. Biden chopped that down below 4%. Half of Americans said, Bring Back Trump!

Ok. Let’s see what happens.

Who’s to blame for so many Americans giving Trump a pass for his Jan. 6 assault on democracy? Here’s one answer…
January 16, 2025 at 6:17 PM
Now as for white no-college union members like those Teamsters… yeah they definitely told Dems to go fuck themselves even after all that Biden did for em.
January 15, 2025 at 9:12 PM
Yeah those particular white voters gave him and Harris the finger real hard. She still got more white support than Biden, Clinton and Obama 2012 if the exit polls are to be believed.

Lotta bitter white people out there, but it looks like some of em understood Biden helped em.
January 15, 2025 at 9:12 PM
Still, 11% of Biden-voting Latinos backed Trump—the biggest defection by race.

If 11% of voters were Latino, as the exit polls say, that’s ~863K who flipped to Trump. Harris coulda won the electoral college with some of em on her side.
January 15, 2025 at 5:47 PM
I wonder how much of the Latino shift to Trump in 2024 was because of so many Biden voters and other Dem-leaning Latinos staying home.

Check out how turnout dropped like a rock among younger Latinos.

22% of Latino voters were younger than 30, down from 31% in 2020.

Why did so many not vote?

And here’s how things look under Biden. I hope we can all prepare ourselves for the economic turmoil Trump promises…

Harris voters 50% more likely than Trump’s to see political arguments at holiday celebrations, twice as likely to say holiday dinner was ruined by one

Only about one-third of conservatives will celebrate New Year’s with others vs half of liberals or moderates.

Any guesses why?

The cost of groceries under Biden has been lower than under Trump for a while now. But did you hear about this in the mainstream media?
December 24, 2024 at 2:41 PM
White no-college voters in cities shifted Democratic too. Wonder how their jobs and lifestyles differ from the ones in suburbs and the countryside.

Could white no-college voters outside cities just be more prejudiced?

There was more of em in cities this election vs 2020 btw
