I read Whistles for the first time while rereading Homestuck this year, and it is amazing how many themes/motifs it shares in common with Homestuck, while also totally being its own thing. I got very strong 'Caliborn prototype' vibes from Sugarshoe. What a shame we'll never see a finished version!
