Whilst some expressed cautious support for professional registration, there was also a high level of indifference - and in some cases resistance - among those we interviewed suggesting a need to articulate more clearly what the ambitions and outcomes of Professional Registration are for staff 2/3

In this publication we explore the importance of anchors through change in probation workers’ identities as they navigate organisations reforms. The values, places and structures are part of probation’s legacy but also offer continuity and meaning to workers as they adapt within a turbulent field.
