(For the record, I don't actually KNOW the Italian noblewoman. I'm not sure exactly what the connection is, but I think she's a friend of one of my fiance's friends.)

Last night at the banquet, I found myself sitting across the table from my retired factory worker father, wondering if he had any idea he was chatting with an Italian noblewoman.

I generally courtesy like any replies to my own posts, unless it's a troll. Then they get a courtesy block.

But, yeah, liking everything I interact with seems weird.

During transit, the parcel traversed a micro-Einstein-Rosen relay loop (μ-ERL), inadvertently engaging a retro-causal transport conduit. This created a closed time-like curve within the localized Minkowski manifold, effectively routing the package through a reverse tachyonic burst.

The thing is, it's so easy to spot. I'll click on an interesting headline, read a paragraph or two, and I'm like "Oh, this is obviously AI" and close the link.

I guess they got what they wanted out of me, which was the click. They don't care if I read the whole thing. But still. What's the endgame?

I'm... at a loss for words.

I remember the first time I drove a car with a touchscreen-only console. I thought it was the dumbest thing I'd ever seen. TURNING A DAMN KNOB is so much better, easier, and safer. You don't even have to look. You can turn the knob entirely by feel, without taking your eyes off the road.

The hard part for me with this this stuff is just that they're so hard to express sympathy for. Whenever I see the words "male loneliness epidemic," for example, all I can think is "Stop whining, you pathetic piece of shit."

There's a street near where I grew up called "Meine Strasse," which is German for "My Street." I always found that amusing.
