A beautiful story about being human, and I still absolutely adore the dice mechanic

No idea how i hadn't already played this or how virtually none of it was spoiled for me in that time. In keeping with that tradition all i will say is that it's very good

I played this purely because of how much I love the trails series but I had a lot more fun with it than I expected. Excited to see where else Adol's journeys take him and how they deal with implementing progression across ten entries with the same protagonist

I didn't realize this took place in Eora; it's got me playing through pillars of eternity 1 and 2 for the 3rd time. I've seen a lot of complaints that it's not an ImmSim but that's fine because it's very good at what it is: an action adventure rpg where your choices feel like they have weight

An excellent follow up to ender lilies, it improves on just about every aspect of the first game's design

The game is very upfront about taking inspiration from the obra dinn (it's even an Easter egg) but don't let that trick you into thinking it's a clone. While similar this game absolutely has its own identity and it's a blast. I've never enjoyed searching the internet more

All the Barbuta-like goodness you know and love packaged neatly in two dozen hours. You get a double jump within an hour. If combat feels frustrating I'd recommend switching things up, Ulv was my favorite fight but only after I learned how to fight him

A fun monster of the week but instead of confronting the monsters, the monsters have mysteries that need to be answered in a satisfying manner (though not always in a strictly truthful one)

I don't know how I managed to not have this (or Outer Wilds for that matter) spoiled in the years I didn't play it, but I'm glad it happened. This is an absolute gem just like everyone said six years ago, a massive logic puzzle rendered in assumptive deductions and green

I like sequels in a conceptual sense, what is it like to carry on a mantle of greatness, how do you handle always being compared to the original? X-2 responds by eschewing just about every mechanic present in the first game; this is a sequel to FF5 and it is quite fun
