I'm excited about Elvis Costello & The Imposters with Charlie Sexton concert at The Masonic, San Francisco, CA on Tue June 17th. Haven't seen him live in years, it will be great! For youth "looking for their punk" (as John Cameron Mitchell said) this concert would be a great place to start.

We put the flag out today in San Francisco to commemorate the 81st anniversary of D Day. We will never forget the sacrifices made for freedom.

Another beautiful day in San Francisco with this guy. He even managed to sniff out a mini Husky puppy friend from pandemic days in a building where we didn't know they lived. #goodnose #EnglishSpringerSpaniel #RussianHill

The new Black Mirror episode, Eulogy, with Paul Giamatti, blew me away with its insightful, evocative take on memories and relationships, and our frailty in remembering things from the past that pain us. Amazing acting from Giamatti, and an episode that will stay with me for a long time.

The South Asian Bar of Northern California Annual Gala last night at the SF Design Center was wonderful. I hadn't attended in some years. I saw so many friends of yore, and met new ones. It's easy to take for granted how important affiliate bars are, esp. these days. I don't want to forget.

Luca Guadagnino's #QueerMovie, adapting William S Burrough's novel, was one of those movies whose soundtrack matched the excellent film. It was an artistic feat with hazy ayahuascanish tracks that stayed with me long afterward, as if to whisper "life is but a dream." www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZeDk...

And while I'm on the subject of Manhattan, no visit is complete without a pilgrimmage to Bemelman's at the Carlyle. You might run into your friends here, even furry ones.

If you are visiting NYC, the Egon Schiele living landscapes exhibit in the Neue Galerie is breathtaking and elevating, worth a visit. Afterward, at the Cafe Sabarsky downstairs, sample the tasty Austrian fare. I had trout crepes and marble ring cake.
