Also picked up new BART stickers today which are great for tracking my rides — which have apparently occurred every weekend in the last month (except for the weekend that I rode big blue bus instead)

This one is my favorite of all the BARTable guides available. Great way to promote public libraries to the youth and I especially got a chuckle from them promoting “school homework support (from a real human!)”

However, back in 2022, Richard Draeger was apparently in support of the redevelopment, so I’m really curious what happened here. I hope Draeger’s still has a place in the new building.

Richard Draeger, the co-owner of Draeger’s Market, said he favored the project and the major upgrade it brings downtown. He has worked with the developers to design a store that represents the same format and amenity options as its Los Altos location, which will also reduce operating costs. “This gives the grocer the opportunity to shed some of these high costs of operating in downtown San Mateo,” Draeger said. “Of all of our stores, San Mateo has the highest cost of operation. It has nothing to do with occupancy costs. It has to do with the cost of being in a city, in an urban environment.”
