My mom is mad cool but sometimes i forget that she spent YEARS saving lives like for real.

So i call my mom to tell her about him and she recounted every thing about admitting him. And in the instant I saw a moment of relief from my mom in knowing he was ok.

I said “thank you for sharing that story with me. I’ll def tell her i met you and you’re doing well” and he said “thank you for sharing your mom and having such a nice spirit.”

For about five minutes he told me a fantastic story about how my mom made sure to investigate every complaint he had and they ended up finding out he had a chronic illness. He then told me she made sure to get him into a free outpatient clinic that he could use for the rest of his life

I went to the emergency room across the street to bring a plate for my play cousin. And a man stopped me and asked me if my mom was my mom. I said yes that’s her. He immediately said he’s been trying to find her and i told him she retired at the beginning of COVID

Meeting someone whose life your mother saved is a real humbling moment.
