Proficiency testing should be mandatory. Get your license you should have to pass more than just a written and short practical test in my opinion. For anything self defence related it should be much higher. Like the CCW for trappers and guides. You must prove your skills.

I mean even if we had conceal carry. I’m very proficient. I compete, I hunt etc and hell no I’m not running out to shoot at gang members if a shooting happens. like it’s some weird macho thing people like to think they would do. When more likely it will go off by accident or in a road rage incident

I am legitimately curious how much US involvement there is in these movements. This is similar to how they’ve attempted to destabilize other countries. They are being heavily propagandized by US media companies. Private or other.

Yeah I really don’t like her either. The cons have gone absolutely bat shit crazy since Pierre took lead. Separatists booed Danielle Smith even after the pipeline announcement they’re bordering seditionists now.

The thing is a lot of people agree that they should be able to defend themselves. Left-wing, right wing, liberals, and on. I don’t believe the police are capable of stopping these incidents of violence. I was maybe 100m from a targeted shooting in Burnaby a few weeks ago a month maybe?

Then we need to make laws that actually define reasonable use of force. Instead of forcing people to either risk hundreds of thousands in court debt or their lives. Be clear that means you can’t shoot the guy stealing your truck in the night. Can’t shoot people who are fleeing…

I’m a lefty and I’m for armed self defence in the home. Not American style shitty gun laws. If you don’t want criminals getting shot in people’s houses. Keep them out of random people’s houses. I’m not for shooting people over property or anything that isn’t directly putting lives at risk.

It’s not just bad for the environment it’s a waste of money. We are moving on from fossil fuels at a very fast rate. By the time these projects are done we won’t have anyone to sell the oil to.

Seems we should be doing lifetime bans for this. There is not enough risk. If it’s a Canadian smuggling guns into the country 10 years prison per firearm that should include 80% completes as well.
