I believe it’s in relation to deletion requests under GDPR and other privacy laws. I received the same response when I asked ChatGPT about this person, who has publicly stated that he asked for deletion when ChatGPT incorrectly claimed he was dead.

Sure, but are you referring to the OpenAI nonprofit’s GC or the for-profit subsidiary’s (OpenAI Global) GC?
It seems to me that the it’s the corporate entity set-up that’s pretty idiotic and likely the source of the main corporate governance problem. OpenAI is duty bound by their nonprofit status.
