He’s doing everything he can do right now. The only reason there are so many videos is because he asked people to film everything. There a commission that’s gathering evidence for prosecutions called the accountability commission. We’re fucked right now because of federal supremacy.

I’m with them tbh, I think we should abolish ICE because it’s too far gone to reform with its restructuring.
Re: ISP, it wasn’t mentioned in OP, but IMO, JB should make a statement. I don’t think he’s directing ISP, but LEOs need to be held accountable.

That said, in my opinion, any ISP that hurt protestors or overstepped should be held accountable and you should report any of them. Pritzker should also probably make a statement about it too, this is just a theory.

Because the mayor of Broadview called the ISP and set up a curfew, the ISP can’t refuse, they are doing crowd control and not directly helping ICE/CBP, and if protestors at Broadview obstruct operations like in late Sept, DJT will deploy the national guard with 10 USC 12406(3).

This is correct, but there is a presumption and the evidence of wrongdoing must be clear, which is why JB directed people to film for video evidence. Gotta build up the cases first (which needs to happen VERY quickly in my opinion)

You’re right, I’m not sure how much of that was directed by JB or his team/accountant, usually people this wealthy have something called a family office that manages day to day finance stuff. But he did do it, and he was attacked for it :P I think it was a mansion adjacent to one of his others.

His wealth might make him out of touch because he’s never worried about money before, but he still has empathy and has experienced traumas and he cares. I don’t have to have been homeless to care about people who are homeless.

Multiple things can be true at one time. “Defund the police” as a phrase can be stupid and damaging, and you can also agree with the direction or the goals of that movement too. Feds have immunity, that’s what JB is arguing right now. Elbows up.

CPD can do crowd control to keep the peace, they can’t directly assist ICE or CBP as far as I know. Pritzker can’t order the CPD, and federal agents have federal immunity (for now) per Pritzker.

The standards should be higher, but writing off every rich person as automatically bad allows rich people to escape accountability. If you’ll never like them because they’re rich, why should they care about you?

He asked people to record evidence of ICE & CBP breaking the law, and I believe they are working on a centralized database to store this evidence for prosecutions later when there is no federal immunity.
