I truly laughed out loud reading this. And thought -- as I often have -- "I'd read anything Adam Smyth writes." Which may just be the reaction every writer, esp of unfinished projects, wants to hear!

Thanks for sharing Caroline (and reposting Sarah). I'm sad to hear of Michael Twyman's passing too. I feel lucky to have been able to take a small workshop/seminar he led on litho three years ago at Reading. I learned so much -- and will continue to in his works.

I LOVE the neat tackle-boxes with all binding supplies! Envious. But also...excited that a LeGuin is coming my way?

I love Sagar's web project and the book is a marvel -- his intros are esp wonderful and really challenge the tradition narrative about Indian public discourse in this period. They complicate Indian anti-colonialism and nationalism so well.
Sorry about your colleague.

Chaiyya Chaiyya is truly a brilliant number, Mani Ratnam, AR Rahmam, SRK, and Farah Khan (the choreographer) in top for. The movie itself (Dil Se) is, I think one of Ratnam's best, superior to the other two in the trilogy.
