TBH I was surprised by how positive content creators were about the set in the lead-up to it. I was pessimistic but I didn’t hear negativity from content creators (except specifically having two versions of every card) until after they played it a fair amount.

I did one for EOE and it felt more beginner-y. A decent option when you can’t fire a full pod, I guess. Should still be round robin, though.

I had weftwalking + vocalist at FNM and it was absolutely absurd. Not sure why vocalist has such bad stats…maybe people aren’t putting it in the right home or maybe I just got lucky. But most Dimir cards I want to play already have etbs anyway 🤷♂️

Much better limited environment than anticipated. Cool buildarounds in stocking the pantry and builders talent helped with longevity. Could have used even a touch more cross archetype synergy to unlock cool brews.

Yeah, the horror theme could have fit so well, the decision to 80s-movie it up was confusing.
Limited was really great, shame that rooms, reanimator, and survival didn’t quite get there (although all could work). Sometimes it’s fun when archetypes are slightly imbalanced but this was a bit too far.

I think people sleep on Glacierwood Siege on Sultai. You can get essence anchors for free, surveil all your lands into the bin, draw only gas, make a zombie army, trigger your skimmers. I don’t think it’s ever Plan A but I think if you’re doing the “leaves the yard” thing it can be a powerful piece.
