The power is out to the jet bridge at Dallas which has halted all departures. I'm also stuck waiting *checks watch* an actual hour for me to get a meet and assist to the next terminal over to catch my next flight, completely unaffected by this crisis.

According to an announcement from the State Department, effective December 15, 2025, all H-1B visa applicants and their H-4 dependents are required to adjust the privacy settings of their social media profiles to "public" for online presence review/vetting by the relevant US consular posts.
Does this new H-1B online presence review/vetting requirement apply to H-1B _1_ (Singapore) visa applicants and their H-4 dependents? Currently, the answer is: Thankfully NO.
The US Embassy in Singapore has announced on its Facebook page that this H-1B online presence review "**does not** apply to H-1B1 Singaporean applicants and their H-4 derivatives." See screenshots below.
Therefore, H-1B1 (Singapore) visa applicants and their H-4 dependents technically do not have to change their social media privacy settings to "public".
