And it's not only fanfiction writers. I've read a ton of books where the em-dash was used several times on a page!
I didn't know, this whole situation just makes me depressed :/ how the hell did we get to this point??

I still see that thread all the time and it made me want to leave the Internet and give up on writing for 5 seconds because it feels like an artistic apocalypse.
Why do we have to worry about whether our writing sounds too much like AI??
