The Arctic Refuge's Coastal Plain has long been under siege, yet designated as wilderness and has held a protected status. Most of us oppose oil drilling in the Arctic Refuge but Trump's regime can't admit that it's Drill, Baby, Drill agenda is absurd. @foaorg.bsky.social fights this battle again.

These darling-looking Shoebills are found in tropical East Africa. They mostly eat fish, which is only 1 reason why We Should Not Consume Fish: other wading and sea birds everywhere depend on it for their food. Pls. be #vegan so that others may simply live.

Just learned from our attorneys in our Wildlife Law Program that BLM’s attorney just confirmed that there will be no roundup of wild horses from the Rock Springs Checkerboard this year in Wyoming! If they don’t agree to cancel it indefinitely, this gives us more time to challenge it.

RFK Jr. claims that windmills are are "wiping out the whale population" in the Atlantic , which IS NOT TRUE. He's advancing the lie to shore up Trump's insane action to cancel the 80% complete windmill plant in CT that's situated close to R.I.,+ employs hundreds of people.

Goldfinches eat seeds and breed now — later than most birds. Nests typically hold 4-6 eggs and while females incubate the eggs males find seeds, which they use to line their nests. That’s why this goldfinch is on my zinnias, pecking to retrieve seeds to feed their young.

@foaorg.bsky.social BB is a long-tailed macaque who arrived with 50 others 15 years ago from a defunct pharmaceutical lab in NJ. Primarily Primates sanctuary in Tx rescues macaques and other primates, which makes us a rarity.

It's time to expose pigeon racing for what it is -- a hobby from hell. Each year thousands of pigeons are bred, only to suffer and die in a strenuous attempt to race hundreds of miles back to their home after being shipped to a mass release point -- all to gamble on which might get home fastest.
