Ugh, as much as I hate to say it, it doesn't say anywhere in the Constitution that he needs to put his hand on anything. Not every president has used a Bible for the oath. But so all those Evangelicals need to take notice that their Orange Calf is already deceiving them.

The parallel I use is that we consume media a lot like how we consume food. I don't buy frozen meals from Walmart, but a lot of people do. The Fediverse is more like cooking for myself and my family than buying a trough of frozen chicken alfredo.

Spam is underrated, but yeah, the sodium can be a lot. I love a rare spam mutsubi, but with the soy sauce, that's like once a year type stuff.

This is a legit warning. I once slowed down to look at hilariously bad AI slop on a tiny home page - didn't even click! - and now it's like 1 in 3 posts are pushing tiny home pages with obvious AI images.

Then read Kashmir Hill's book Your Face Belongs to Us (or catch an interview with her) and you'll get a sense of how even without spyware, the tracking is beyond absolutely scary already.
