I drew Katsura, my favourite character in Gintama, because I have referred to him as a metaphorical onion before. He has so many different layers...

Inktober day 20: Rivals

Main character Sawako (left) and her rival Kurumi from the great shojo manga Kimi ni Todoke.

I say "rival", but actually they only start to become friends after Kurumi drops her fake facade and acknowledged Sawako as a rival and equal rather than an obstruction.

I imagined a generic fantasy setting, but i have to admit they didn't end up looking very medieval...

Indulging in original worldbuilding: three priests in ceremonial clothes.

The French word for 'blunder' is "gaffe", and Gaston Lagaffe, star of the classic Belgian comic "Gaston", is surely the king of blunderers!

I chose a liberal interpretation of the prompt, going with an artist - Kevin Holmström from KAJ - shredding a guitar solo. Just put it in past tense, and it works!

Turned out a bit wonky as i find guitars hard to draw, but that's Inktober for you!
