In the end, all we have is our story. Are you writing one worthy of remembering in a positive light?

Watch Jordan Peele's "Nope" and then "The Endless" on Peacock. Then watch "Nope" again. Cuz it's better. But they're both cool and weird and wait, what?

The United States is built on a foundation of exploitation, lies, and duplicity.

Greed is the American Dream. Can we just acknowledge that?
April 17, 2025 at 8:55 AM
Selfishness and greed have brought us here. The Conservatives would like you to believe it's a degradation of "family values" due to liberal tolerance. But at this point, Conservatives are the ONLY ONES destroying families and denying Christ-like care of those in need.

Our value as legitimate sentient beings is questioned right now. Human value is currently a subjective decision by wealthy, privileged, white men.

My physical capabilities are finite. And the consequences of my daily choices impact the longevity of those capabilities.

Is it ignorance or arrogance? That seems to be the question for the 21st century. I fear we're suffering from the collision of the two and we won't survive the aftermath.

Then there's the reading I went to of a screenplay written from the perspective of a 20-something female victim of domestic violence by a boomer-aged, upper middle class, white man preaching about feminism.

I don't care if it was originally slated to debut in 2020. "Hooked up" was NOT a phrase that existed in the 1990s (among a ton of other anachronisms in the dialogue).

Even less convincing? An Asian American 30-something woman born in San Francisco trying to write 2 male Russian characters living through the downfall of the USSR in the 1990s. The play Mother Russia by Lauren Yee was not good enough for a "world premiere" at Seattle Rep.

Anora, really? A white guy doing some sort of deep dive (pun intended, I guess?) into the experience of a 23 year old female sex worker and examining her arc as....Wait, nope, no arc. Just tears at the end while fucking another guy because he provided her with financial compensation.

Just because all the men die, doesn't make the story feminist!

Will someone please do a study on horror movies and calculate the number of times women are inhibited by their clothing?!? Stay in a pair of jeans, some sneakers, a t-shirt and a sports bra at all times!!!!!

NO ONE INCLUDING SHAKESPEARE has been able to live financially independent. Just ask.

Is it worth fighting commerce to prove art is essential?

Is there someone or something that you fell connected to from the past that could give your life purpose? Would that be worth seeking?

What if our existence is purposed by the dead?
March 9, 2025 at 4:12 AM
I knew the life I wanted when I was 8 (if not younger). The opportunity to access it was was governed by others and therefore lost. I am still trapped and less ready.

I used to be fit, hot, and a size 0. People told me I'd be on Broadway and I should be in the movies.

What am I supposed to do with all the smarts, talents, and capacity for love I was burdened with?
March 9, 2025 at 3:24 AM
I'm an extremely intelligent, creative, empathetic, bipolar female who loves sex and art. No one seems to think that's valuable enough to make an effort.

I'd rather die than work for corporate America again.

The reason cisgender men are afraid of trans women? Because they have 2 ways of approaching the world: fight it or fuck it. They don't know how to incorporate trans women into that paradigm.
