Ooo I hate that. I've set my NAS to shutdown after 1 minute on UPS power in the hopes I can avoid issues. The UPS beeping is loud enough to wake the dead I swear. Part of me wants to find it's speaker and rip it out, or try to make it quieter.

Which is why you have an UPS, so instead you are awoken to the fan stopping AND the UPS screaming the song of it's people!
