Went to Bauman's at 9:00 am. All parking was full accept for one at the front by the farm store. . . got in, picked up our order, first in line and back home within minutes. BEST SHOPPING DAY EVER!

Yesterday I made Steak Soup with all the goodness the fridge had leftover from the weekend: NY steaks, onions, garlic, celery, corn, peas, green beans, bell peppers, carrots, tomatoes, a couple sweet potatoes and our homemade beef bone broth. Herbs and spices to jazz it up. Pressure canning today.

It's a gorgeous morning here in the PNW! It was supposed to be rainy but at the last minute, the weather decided to shine a little bit. No arguments here! Everyday there is a sunbreak somewhere after it rains. I just love that.

My youngest granddaughter was born four days prior to my birthday in April. For the first time ever, we are celebrating our birthdays together. 💝 We always have the BEST conversations about life and last night we 'girl talked' about life and cake. I love her so much! 15 is gonna look good on her!

Made a run to our local feed store for supplies. While there, I heard a news station say "egg farmers are playing off the bird flu media and unnecessarily raising egg prices." I told you so months ago. If there was a problem with eggs, chicken prices would rise too. They didn't.

While being acutely aware of what donnie boy and his gang of thieves are doing, we try to find some normalcy in the everyday life of running a suburban farm. We collect eggs, can foods and prepare to help our neighbors when needed. I say 'when' because they are targets in many ways. Do your part.

Shopping at Costco today knowing that each person gets the respect and acceptance they they deserve! They also get a wage increase whether they are part of the union or not. I really like that!!!
