Things got a little better for Z but then kept getting worse. It was just time to ease his pain. I’ll miss that sweet little ball of handsome madness so much, as much as I miss all of our cats. Losing three in a year is crushing.

Zodiac’s eating less after developing a pretty severe UTI a couple weeks ago. His mood and behavior were ok until he started acting really ill today, so he’s being hospitalized while they give him fluids, ABX, and meds to increase his appetite. Send those good vibes for our affectionate boy.

Trains are so fucking cool

My dad’s train was delayed, so I’m working on my Deathwing Librarian to stay awake while I wait for Amtrak updates.

Barbara went on a digging binge during the rainy weather last week (see pic), and despite my best efforts, Gummo has found three different escape routes under our fence since. The first time he was in our front yard & the second he was found by a neighbor. Today he was in a garage down the street.

I think the lesson here is I need to invest in some more eccentric headwear
