This is British Wonderland bi-weekly report, the penultimate one of this year. What is taking so long? My project is firmly in the category of an extreme long-haul projects by now. More than a year pu...

New funny word - friendslop. Attaching "slop" to words is indeed becoming old.

Sometimes even a low-effort multiplayer shitgame can produce genuine enjoyment. Thanks to the power of friendship these things are not mutually exclusive, and that is what actually most tragic about "friendslop.

So there is this song by Black Eyed Peas - Let's Get It Started, big hit, right? I have known it since i was a child.
It is alright, but not really my jam.
At some point in time it got into my music library, sometimes it played on shuffle - i paid no mind, and it was too bop to remove.

This is Bullet Heaven by Matt Roszak, and today (actually yesterday) i fired up flashpoint to replay it.

Not really a good "danmaku" game, but sure fun "flash" game from its era. Not only it is uniquely nostalgic to me, but through it i discovered Touhou games.
November 17, 2025 at 1:04 AM
I am very late to the drama, but i just learned that the Drunken Priest himself used AI in his latest Touhou 20. He disclosed the AI-powered corner-cutting with backgrounds.

First i was surprised, but the very next second it made sense suddenly, let me explain below.

My honest take, SponsorBlock is a good plugin, which may or may not be used by "disagreeable people", while DeArrow is an insidious plugin likely to be used by "disagreeable people".
November 15, 2025 at 12:43 AM
Even less trust i have for DeArrow users, and DeArrow in general. Where SponsorBlock works as cool addition to chapter system, DeArrow aggressively replaces thumbnails and titles. Not only do you defer to mob mentality to create a different world of illusions, but also disrespect the creator.
November 15, 2025 at 12:42 AM
I kind of do not trust people who use SponsorBlock. I mean, for skipping ads, god bless, but who are those people who go out of their way to tag "intros / intermissions" or "filler / jokes" sections? I have my suspicions that these people would not respect you as a person.

Just found out that markdown ignores single line breaks. A profoundly terrible design choice, absolutely no idea how did i never notice it earlier.
Actually, i know how. Obsidian shields the user from that quirk. Without it my entire collection of notes become unreadable.

How irksome.

🚧 Sorry everyone, it appears we're currently under a DDOS attack and our host, Linode, put a networking restriction on our main web server, meaning it isn't publicly available. We've reached out to them for more information. Hope to have an update soon.

I cannot imagine using Youtube app to actually watch videos.
I am using it to scroll the feed or check subscriptions, put cool videos to Watch Later so i remember to watch them when i am back at the desktop.

And in case i do want to watch videos on mobile, god bless the NewPipe and forks.

In my feed i see the kind of questions they put on tests in music schools.
I think back then these memory games scared off 10 year old me. These days of course i known what vii° chord is, and even have some ideas where that goofster can be used. To remember what it is called in proper theory... nah.

Well, so far it definitely is no Krita.
Krita is powerful, stable and... takes a while to get used to, but it is very usable. None of that i can say for Kdenlive just yet.
Whoops it crashed again, remember to save and backup before you press anything.
Just installed Kdenlive, first thing it did was crash. Nice to meet you.
I guess it just has to be better than the old fart Vegas, not a high bar if i am honest. So far it certainly is better at importing files. But timeline navigation is somewhat meh, maybe it is a matter of habit.

The most idiotic thing about KDE (or any Qt app) is how every dropdown menu and slider gets affected by mouse scroll. Try scrolling through any settings window, i dare you.
Worst thing is how you cannot disable it, as it is hardcoded behaviour.

Major L for KDE, and has been for years.

Funny internet horror man talks about AI.
I may agree that AI is a capitalist nothingburger, but his argument against AI sentience is exceptionally weak.
I swear, any AI-sceptic who goes and reads about engineering behind AI gets this smug confidence in "oi it is just statistics, glorified T9"

Second time same shit, exactly when i attempt to bulk edit descriptions on my videos, i am starting to have my suspicions.
Bloody sorry for being so efficient at it that you thought me a bot, Mr. Google.
I was archiving devlogs to my new dedicated channel just now. I can only surmise that google really hated how i just uploaded a dozen of tiny videos to a new channel and logged me out of everywhere, yelling about critical security event. Or maybe i indeed was almost hacked right now, who knows...
