Wait till the tariffs kick in. Not sure why but some people seem to think that other governments pay tariffs. It’s the consumers and American manufacturers. The story that local companies can scale to fill the gaps and displace imports is unlikely in the short to medium term.

Yep. Example. In Miami. Highly recommended Cuban sandwich shop. 2 sandwiches, 2 coffees and a juice. 40 USD. That’s £35 for a sandwich.

I am visiting the US from the U.K. on vacation. My last visit. It’s too expensive. Now it’s on a par with cities like Hong Kong. Added the scam of tipping at 25%. If companies just paid their staff proper
salaries then I wouldn’t have to subsidise the staff wages.

Well I am here on vacation from the U.K. and the prices are 3 x more than we pay in the U.K. plus the quality of your food is garbage. Super processed hardly anything fresh. Musk is the village idiot isn’t he.
