After finishing the main task this morning, a brief search located cassette packaging and then a number of PFMs that had been missed by a previous clearance team.
Never a bad way to finish the day. We will go and do a further search tomorrow in the surrounding area.

Another glorious day in the sunshine, clearing around old Russian positions and proofing previously mined tracks in support of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for a future outdoor medical training area.
Few piles of UXO and a number of smerch rocket motors, so far, so good!

Not up fast enough to catch the AA rounds exploding, but you can hear the fragmentation bouncing off the roofs while small arms tracer chases a Shaheed.

Nothing says you're old, like the studio insisting on 30 minutes of makeup to try to hide the baggy eyes and wrinkles I seem to have earned as my battle scars in Ukraine.
Looking forward to this, I don't often get space to say it as it is.

Very saddened to hear this. While attacks are always expected, suicide attacks are a different level of evil!

Not all heroes wear capes. Many wear armour on top of their old, worn, and dirty medical, police or fire service uniforms. They go straight to work while fully aware that this could be a come-on for a double tap hit against emergency services as they respond.
