It wasn't all that long ago that Kotaku was a site that people liked to trash even though it was pretty decent, actually. Things can go to crap, fast. Can only assume that they're trying to run it for... well... pennies

Best guess is that it's just a mentality of star power star power star power... buy they're all from roughly the same generation, and it's come at the cost of size and youth.
