I think they meant Hojlund, not Haaland.

Dave Whelan broke his leg? When was this? He doesn't talk about it.

At a company event in the Grosvenor House hotel and was waiting for the lift to go up to my room. The lift arrived and Mike Tyson got out.

And waiting for the elevator in the Manhattan Hilton we stood by this guy sitting on a couch reading some papers. He looked up and it was Bill Gates.

My son had a brilliant one when stopping at traffic lights in the centre of Manchester and in the car next to him were Russell Brand and the Dalai Lama.

Got loads of these. Probably the most random is being in a Starbucks in Manchester UK in 2005 when Bill Clinton (and a large entourage) walked in. He was making a speech that day at the Labour party conference taking place across the road.

Too right. When I get the annual magazine from my old school the first thing I look at is the obituary section.

Be us soon Andy!

This is an issue I usually don't get involved in but the Arab world has treated the Palestinians very cynically. Most of them bar Palestinians from citizenship as they'd rather keep them as in Gaza than in their own countries. And that effectively serves them on a plate to Israel.

If he stands up too quickly he'll probably pull something.

Unforgivably we stood still after the treble when we should have been ruthless and looking at moving forward even further.

Yes they're back.

In the bottom half of the table.

What's a "win"?
December 4, 2024 at 1:23 PM
Possibly but one player doesn't make a defence. It's about sensing danger and organisation. It took a couple of seasons of Pep to get that and we seemed to have solved the problem. But we're all over the place currently. You can see it happening as opposition moves unfold.

Teams are doing to us, with that quick transition, what we used to do to them and they had no answer to. Now, we're like headless chickens against the counter. Haaland's second against Prague was a rare example of us doing that quick, deadly transition.

Nick Harris is 99.9% certainly also Magic Twat.

Altogether Now by Erik Samuelson, which is about FC Wimbledon's formation and early years.

Only A Game by Eamon Dunphy, which is about his final season at Millwall.

Good evening Andy. And what a good evening it's turning out to be.

Good job you got in early to get a space on the car park.

The potential problem is views can change, and players development can plateau. It took Phil Foden a good while to get to the standard he is now. And even he seems to have fallen off from last season's incredible level.

I was at a City Matters meeting, probably at the start of the 2020/21 season, that involved a big gathering with key staff in a new hospitality facility. I ended up sat with Jason Wilcox who said that McAtee was the outstanding prospect at the Academy & that they wanted to keep him.

Thank fuck I'm out on a work piss-up on the 4th.

It's worse than watching City!

When I first came to Pittsburgh I was staggered at the depth of hate for the Ravens. Makes City & united fans look like best mates.

City were in the old 2nd division while Busby's united had started winning things. But my school pal was a fanatical City fan and he brainwashed me. There were times when I cursed him over the years but have now forgiven him.
