It’s probably a huge investment for a small band to do a vinyl pressing now. But check out a local record shop and dig through the used vinyl. Get to know some older bands. I’ve found some records I really love for cheap.

$2.99 find in a discount bin at local record store. Still has the price sticker from a totally different record store—and it’s in good condition!

This album fucking rocks and I swear the next time it changes hands will be at my estate sale.

She is great! Found a used vinyl of Living in the USA a few weeks ago. Now whenever I put it on my wife and I go “Wow! Linda Ronstadt!” because of her appearance on The Simpson’s.

My local city center had cool shit going on today. Inside were local vendors selling used vinyl and a DJ spinning. Outside were low-riders and classic cars. The vinyl was a deal at $15 for Bowie and $5 for Ritchie and The Time each.

A total gem found among used record trash! Joe Jackson’s Night and Day scored for $10. Previous owner cared enough to keep it in an anti static sleeve. Minimal scuffs and scratches. Praise vinyl Jesus!

The diagonal pleat is easier to make than a regular straight one as the fabric is folded right at these corners. After it is folded it creates a straight edge that works like normal in the pattern.

A third revision of my L/R reversible sling. The outer pocket now has some volume thanks to a set of diagonal pleats. And this #ecopac fabric is the best!

Testing out a pattern for the bottom of a tote/sack.

Con: It won’t be able to stand up on its own.
Pros: Easy to sew. It won’t be boring.

I might also use this construction method for other bag types after I develop the idea further.

Refining my pattern and technique for a pocket pouch. I did a few before this that were trash, but the feeling when you get it right is real 🔥. The top is 1000D Cordura and the bottom is ECOpak by Challenge. Both use 4.5mm coil zippers from YKK.

A turntable was the Mrs and my Christmas gift to ourselves, and I’m feeling how much vinyl turns music into a ritual. Physical media does that in general, but vinyl especially. ❤️
