I don’t think it’s stupidity. I suspect Trump and his minions know exactly what the reciprocal tariffs are. But they also know that the American people are stupid and know nothing about tarriffs. So they figured they could come up with this ridiculous lie and most people wouldn’t even question it.

I used to think that if the felon & his co-conspirators were caught on a hot mike showing their true disdain for their followers (á la A Face in the Crowd), they would lose that support. How naive I was. Instead they express their disdain openly and proudly. And don’t lose a single cult member.
