The final tally for my #nanowrimo 2025. Goal achieved and an ending to the story discovered.

From here I fall back to a simple 800 words daily about anything as a steady writing goal. Just to continue leveling up my skill.

I hope y'all found success, regardless of your totals, this month. <3

The final days of #nanowrimo. Whether you've stalled in your progress, are on pace, or blew past the goal; I hope you've created something that inspired you. Creativity is so beautiful. I hope to see the results of your work even if it's just a smile on your face, knowing you created something.

Almost caught back up to par for the month. #nanowrimo

2,217 words down for the day. The adventurers are on the move and the enemy clearly knows where they are. Exciting!

((at least I hope? That's what second drafts are for. Right?))

Back on track if just a little behind. 1,924 words for the day bringing me to 22,402 for the month.

Originally stopped at 1,312 for the but the tracker helpfully prompted "Just 533 more words needed to stay on pace." T'was all the motivation I needed.

Update, still at about 20k words for the month. Made the choice to sleep last night instead of write. Been running on fumes for too many days.

So, plan is to have a normal writing session tonight, aiming a little higher than par.

Take care of yourselves!

1,209 words for the night. Not quite hitting par but I'm certain I'll be able to make up as the weekend approaches.

Keep going strong. Any progress is progress toward creating what didn't exist before.

1,545 words for the night. #nanowrimo

One of the things I truly appreciate about TrackBear.app is the ability to select the date of the progress entered. I often only have the latest hours to write. Yes, it's technically tomorrow but this progress was for yesterday.

It's... calming?

Totes forget to post my update last night. Wrote about 1.3k words and promptly passed out. Back to writing tonight and hopefully a touch more sleep before work.

On track so far. Shouldn't need to crunch any weekends.

2,273 words for the day putting me at just over 15k now. #nanowrimo

What are some methods you use to help keep the voice of your character's correct?

I keep notes but more often I find myself second guessing their dialogs. I worry their voices will all blend together without distinction.

Day 7, 1,250 more words for the day. Puts the month's total at 13k. A little shy of par but I'm more than okay with that. A good night's rest and tomorrow will bring even more of the story to life.

A late night with work eating much of my day away. Still, progress continues. We're out of the introductions and scene setting and into a gory mystery!

Playing with splitting the narrative point of view between four main characters is proving to be fun.

2,100 words for the day. #nanowrimo

The antagonist makes an appearance. Well, mentions of shadow and danger with something twisting the actions of the townsfolk anyway.

I just realized I started this adventure in a tavern. What a trope. What a great trope.

I have:

- four characters, all with animal names.
- a tavern keep's daughter
- an arrogant adjuticator of the peace
- threats from the shadows
- absolutely no idea where this is going

Things are looking pretty good for this month already!

2,414 more words toward the goal. #nanowrimo

Only day three and I already have a handful of [MOUNTAIN NAME], [NOTABLE EXTRA NAME], and [SOMETHING COOL SOUNDING] placeholders in my text. xD

Naming things is truly one of my weakest skills. Can't let it stop progress though.

A mouse, fox, badger, and wolf all meet in a tavern.

--

"I am known as Fox. What is your name?" Fox asked softly.

The woman held the glare for a moment before saying, "Monta Gynt, daughter of Alberts Gynt the owner of this house. What type of name is Fox?"

"A simple one," Fox said.

Where are you tracking your writing progress? I've been using Trackbear and find it a lovely app for the task.

It's writing month. I am excited to see where this story goes. Humorously, starting with a random phrase from stream.

"As the mouse arrives, the mists curling around its body, the prophecy fulfills itself."

1634 words down.

Breaking a writing drought feels good. #nanowrimo
