Regarding the Great Depression, ‘sky-high tariffs had put America on the “road to ruin”…It was a painful lesson, and it took decades of sustained global effort, led by America, to bring tariffs down and let commerce flourish.

Jamarri’s 6th grade book project is on this book, so I read it. EVERYONE should read this book! It’s a short, easy read, funny and heartwarming. Also, at times heartbreaking. As John’s mom, it hit me pretty hard. Read it…read it to your kids. Be kind humans. ❤️❤️❤️
