This puffy cluster is the flower of a meadowrue... It is supposed to be a western meadowrue but it is not clear whether it actually is, will have to watch for seed pods

This is one of the native checkermallow plants for this area, it's called Cusick's checkermallow, and it is humongous

The categories are arranged from front to back roughly by sowing time. Sources I've use multiple reference points for when to sow seeds, mainly either calendar date in relation to est. last frost or soil temperature minimum.
