Hey man of science with your perfect rules of measure, can you improve this place with the data that you gather?
Literally no other world leader has "great respect for President Trump". They all know he's so easily manipulated. WE'RE THE MARK!

Plenty of Republican supporters seem to be surprised by things like these emails. They aren't getting this information normally (like many of us who are engaged are).

From the outside, it has looked like non-Belgians have a tougher time at that team (even thinking back all the way Jonathan Page, but more recently with Kamp, etc.). Is this accurate? And if so, would be rough for Nieuwenhuis and Orts?

My point is that 10k isn't even that longish of a commute here. It's slowly changing, but many (most?) bike commuters here have a background in racing or at least serious riding.
November 16, 2025 at 4:01 PM
For some, it's that their commutes are pretty long (the USA is pretty sprawled out (even in most cities), and pre-e-bike, a "faster" bike would get you there faster.

Bike Works WAY over Goodwill. I've never seen anything but junk bikes in really rough condition at the Dearborn Goodwill. And at Bike Works you know the bike is in good working condition.

Mayor-elect in Starbucks home base too!
November 15, 2025 at 7:42 PM
Crazy how much they've dropped the price on the wagon over the last 5 years.
November 15, 2025 at 12:09 AM
Fitting.

Pretty baffling that the mayor doesn't really understand the affordability crisis in Seattle, as shown by him getting offended, saying he grew up "poor", and then jumping to talking about helping the poor.

How does he not see how many supposedly "middle class" residents in this city are hurting?!?
November 14, 2025 at 8:35 PM
The new waterfront path has some questionable drainage for sure.
November 14, 2025 at 6:07 PM
If you subtract out housing prices more than doubling, and many residents being forced out of the city. Seattle has done a lot, but they've also failed on some big issues.
November 14, 2025 at 5:25 PM
I think they're going to continue to try to chase elusive euro fans who they will never be able to convert. All while alienating many OG fans who grew the league originally.
November 14, 2025 at 5:23 PM
So you admit those mid-season games are likely going to suffer attendance issues now?

Works "fine" in every other league where the sport is #1, teams have generations of support, and most of their winters aren't as cold.

Maybe it will "work", but I remain skeptical.
November 14, 2025 at 3:43 PM
Because most of those games mattered more, like the end of the season, playoffs, or an opener. Mid-season will likely not draw those same numbers.
November 14, 2025 at 3:12 PM
Yes. My interest and passion peaked 10 years ago, when my team and our rivals were selling out stadiums. Since then, it's been a slow decline to pretty meh now.
November 14, 2025 at 3:10 PM
He just cannot ever admit that he might have been wrong. Also, zero self-awareness of any of the reasons he likely lost. Coming back at that question with "How dare you ask that, I grew up poor" was certainly something, if not predictable.
November 14, 2025 at 3:02 PM
So those northern teams just won't have home games for four months in the middle of the season. that will really drive engagement....
November 14, 2025 at 2:57 PM
COL, RSL, SKC, MNU, STL, CHI, FCC, COL, TOR, MTL, NER, NYC, NYRB, PHI = 14/29, and I think you have a fair argument to throw in Cascadia, making it 17 teams. Even DC isn't balmy in winter.
November 14, 2025 at 4:48 AM
I remain skeptical that the main path for MLS is media though. Messi has changed this a little, but the leg up that MLS has/had over much more popular Euro leagues is that so many fans could actually see games live. If it's down to streaming I think most Americans will still choose Euro vs MLS
November 14, 2025 at 4:41 AM
How is this likely to affect already low TV-viewership?
November 14, 2025 at 4:37 AM
There are a lot of questions though.
How will fans handle a two month break in the middle of the season?
How many casual fans are November/December games likely to get in many markets (and MLS still needs solid attendance)?
How will MLS compete with a more congested pro sports calendar?
November 14, 2025 at 4:36 AM
And they literally only did it during her run for mayor!
November 14, 2025 at 4:05 AM
Expect super low attendance for the first "half" of the season. Hard to believe most fans stay engaged over a TWO MONTH break in the middle of the season.
November 14, 2025 at 12:57 AM
Deep thinker here...
