Agree. It’s interesting that his slower style in the fifties was imho nicer than the forties when he was perhaps competing with Ammons etc. Even if he sometimes fluffed a note.

Totally agree. I love how understated it is yet melodic, beautifully syncopated and restful. (i can just about play this too!)
